A adventurous resident simply allowed an odd patch of their garden, measuring only 1.5m x 3m triangle, to the forces of nature. Over time wildflowers self seeded and wildlife four a new haven.

The insects here far exceed elsewhere in the garden. The combination of a buddleia bush, a mixture of small plants and a good stand of knapweed seems a winning formula for butterflies: with sightings five peacocks, comma, red admiral, large white, meadow brown, gatekeeper, and holly blue.
